Today's Inspiration: Children's Fashion

Hello beautiful people!! Today I'm integrating children’s fashion into my styling sets on Polyvore.   As you may all know by now, I'm a sucker for stylish children.  So I thought to myself "why not start incorporating children's looks to my Polyvore collection?”  I shared the idea with some of my close friends and they loved it.  What do you guys think?

Floral Blossom

I saw this floral top at h&m some weeks ago.  I really liked the print, and for just $15 I didn't even bother to try it on.  To make things better, stepping back into the store some days later I saw the matching pants.  You should have seen the excitement on my face (lol).  Although the pants weren't marked as low as the top, I thought to myself "$35 isn't bad for a nice pair of trousers."

Looks of The Day

Stella Jean is one of the few exceptional designers that captures the true essence of mixing prints. Being Italian-Haitian, her work is inspired by mixing wax prints but with a modern day twist. I discovered her work while browsing the web some months back and I've been dying to blog about her work. I really admire her take on mixing prints and shapes-looking at her collections always leaves me inspired. I will be blogging more of her collections soon- STAY TUNED

Today's Skinny Hip: My Stylish Photographer

Hello everyone!! Meet the man that is responsible for taking nearly all the lovely images you see on my blog, Femi.  When I told Femi I wanted to feature him on my blog this week- he laughed and said "me? I'm not Skinny Hip o." There was no way I was taking no for an answer.  After agreeing on being featured, I had no idea what Femi had in store for me. I was very impressed when I saw him in this outfit. Thank you Femi for dressing up on Sunday for my blog pictures (so I'll like to think lol). What do you guys think, is he Skinny Hip?

I love the blue buttons on his shirt + the patches on the elbow of the jacket!!

I styled Femi's second look.  I wanted him dressed in a simple and semi-casual way.  I don't think I've ever seen Femi wear an unbutton shirt under a blazer so I wanted an opportunity for me to try something new while staying true to his style. I had loads of fun shooting Femi because it's usually the other way around.

At this point,  I had to stop shooting because Femi was obviously tired of me (lol).

Peplum Creation

Hello everyone, hope you're well.  I wore this outfit to my friend, Kehinde's wedding in California.

Since my designer friend, Funke sewed me a top & skirt with the same fabric here- I wanted to go with a new style.  I expressed to her that I wanted peplum pants with 2 different fabrics and I left the creative part to her (lol).  I was very happy when I picked up my outfit. Thank you Funke Xx.

Straight into Winter

As I stepped out this morning to visit the gym, I realized the temperature had dropped immensely.  It's as if we skipped fall and moved straight into winter.  This was what enthused today's outfit- staying stylish despite the cold weather.  For a more comfortable/relaxed look, you can always substitute the heels for a nice pair of flats, boots or even tennis shoes.
