Outfit of The Day

Today's post is courtesy of one of my favorite photographer and it features his beautiful wife!!  This shoot was done recently in celebration of her birthday and she looks stunning.   Looking at these pictures reminds me of magazine photos.  Diwura looks amazing in this color block outfit & she's sporting items from one of my favorite shopping spots- ZARA!!!  Can you believe she has 2 children and still looks this great? SPOTLIGHT: Aldo Filson

What isn't there to love about the Filson?  I love its splash of colors and feminine touch the ankle straps adds to it.  After spotting the Filson online couple months ago, I immediately ran to my nearest Aldo store to make an order.  I wore it to a friend's graduation dinner back in May (pictures coming on blog soon).

  Even though I live in Baltimore, I hardly visit downtown unless it's for lunch or dinner.  My friend Sade invited Olu and I to watch the Dolphins' show at the aquarium with her and her beau this past Saturday.  Since someone forgot the tickets at home **cough, cough** we had to postpone and instead headed to Phillips Seafood for an early dinner.  The food was really good and I can't wait to go back!!!

Look of The Week

While out at the "See What Unfolds" event in Time Square during the week, Solange wore this amazing $3,660 blazer from Roberto Cavalli's Spring 2012 collection.  She paired the bold blazer with a black top, shorts, CC Skye Nikki clutch & simple strapped Pierre Hardy sandals.  Solange looks incredible from head to toe, I can totally see myself wearing this...What do you think of this look?

Heat Wave

Summer officially started yesterday and it welcomed us by baking us cookie lol.  The heat wave has been crazy over here and I've been hiding inside my house :-p.  Now that summer has began what are your plans and if the weather is anything like ours how are you keeping cool?

Hope everyone had a faboulous weekend!! Thanks so much to everyone who wished me a happy birthday on Saturday, I really appreciate all the love. I wore this outfit to my friends' wedding several weeks ago.  I have been dying to make a hi-lo skirt in ankara so when the opportunity presented itself, I jumped at it lol.  The top I'm wearing is sewn from the  original Aso Ebi (African fabric selected by the celebrant, to be worn by close friends and family). The fabric can be sewn in any style. I wanted to mix things up a little, so I used a different print for the skirt.
